I like Japanese movies! Especially, I like SAMURAI movies. For example SAYURI, SEMISHIGURE, OHOKU, KAKUSHIKEN ONINOTUME etc. These movies are very beautiful. Samurai movie play has not only the fight but also the story of love. You can see the SAMURAIs LOVE. There is peculiar love to the samurai. Beyond that, costumes and ornaments are very beautiful. The kimono of woman's clothes is very vivid and gorgeous. So I want to wear the vivid and gorgeous kimono.
Do you like SAMURAI movies?
Please let me hear your opinion.

I like Zatoichi and Azumi. The Last Samurai was also worth watching at the cinema, though of course it was more American than Japanese.

I wouldn't really call Sayuri a samurai movie though....

If you want a bit of love and drama try the (american) TV series "Shogun". It's based on the book all about the first Englishman to Japan meeting Tokugawa Ieyasu at the end of the Sengokujidai.
