Hello, Everyone,

I am a chinese girl in Canada and new to this forum. I found this is a very intresting group. I always enjoyed good literature in my own language and always wanted to read some good english books. However, I have some difficulty to choose a right english book for me. Either the stories were a little bit too shallow, or they were too hard for me to understand. I don't know if someone had the same experience with me. Somehow I just didn't want to waste my time on some no-good novels and stopped reading and stopped learning. I know I must sound a little bit lazy saying things like that, but I would really love to hear some feedback from you. By the way, I love to read novels and love instresting stories about human being's true feeling, doesn't matther good or bad. Do you have any suggestions for someone like me? I would really appreciate if someone can help me out and share your experiences with me.

Thanks a lot in advance.

I understand what you mean! Try reading To Kill a Mocking Bird (sorry, I don't remember the author)--it's a good book that won many prizes and it's easy to read. It's one of those books that you just can't let go off until you've read it all. My other advice is to read books that were written in the 20th or the 21 century--they are always easier to read than older books.
