| In China, renowned universities, for instance, Tsinghua University and Beijing University are high school students' holy city. They are aspired by their parents to be a student there. In summer holiday, students visit those renowned unversities to taste academic air there. At the return of the trip, students would be activated to learn harder to become a member in those universities. Those universities turn into a place of interest. Should the University Campus be Open to Tournists? Please present your situation explicitly towards the phenomenon. Please voice your opinion in your pleasure. |

| Famous Universities are of interest to tourists and also to the taxpayers who assist in their upkeep or their fees. I think University campuses should be open to the public. I've visited several, myself and sat in some lectures that I thought might be interesting. Provided people are well-behaved I don't see a problem. |

I agree. Many universities are famous for various reasons: some for their history, some for their architecture. My own alma mater is known for an extensive outdoor display of avant garde sculptures. It is all subsidized by taxpayers (at least the campus itself if not the actual art which is meant to be public art anyway). Why shouldn't those same taxpayers have an opportunity to come see what their money is going to?
