This is your opportunity to turn learning English into the ultimate adventure! At the ESL Wilderness Ranch we combine a high standard of English language study with the adventure of being on a horse ranch with over 30 horses. The ranch is situated in the Chilcotin Mountains, deep in the wilderness of British Columbia, Canada. We use the Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) approach. Our goal is to have our students achieve “Communicative Competence”. This means that our students are able to communicate in English using the four language skills, speaking, listening, reading and writing.

Canada is one of the best destinations to study English. Many students decide to come to Canada because of the nature and wilderness that can be found here, especially in British Columbia.
However, most of the schools that are available to students are to be found in the big cities. Our ESL Wilderness Ranch is unique; we are attached to a horse ranch deep in the Chilcotin Mountains, surrounded by snow-covered mountains, lush forests, crystal clear lakes and rivers.

At the ESL Wilderness Ranch we offer;
 15 hours of classroom study per week
 Studying in a beautiful and natural setting
 A wilderness lifestyle experience
 Active participation on a horse ranch
 Afternoon horse riding activities included in the tuition fee!

The tuition is in the morning from 9-12 (Monday-Friday). In the afternoons and weekends students can participate in various ranch activities, such as western horseback riding, bareback riding, packing a horse, target shooting and archery, driving heavy vehicles, wildlife viewing, hiking and mountain biking. The students are accommodated on the ranch within 3 minutes walk from everything. Students usually have a private room with shared bathrooms, showers and laundry facilities.

After the language course students can stay on the ranch and join our extended immersion program. This includes that the students work on the ranch and in exchange they get room and board. This way they can stay at the ranch for several more weeks or months at no extra costs!

Cost of program:

1 week: $1,280.00
2 weeks: $2,166.25
3 weeks: $3,367.50
4 weeks: $4,122.50

All prices are in Canadian dollar and include:
 15 hours classroom tuition per week
 Horse riding and associated activities in the afternoons
 Accommodation and all meals
