"Mercurial" seems to have a lot of meanings some of which could contradict each other. What does it mean in the newspaper article below?
Mr. Assange, a mercurial figure, has acknowledged that the release of the documents had been timed to induce maximum harm to the prospects of Hillary Clinton.

I'd guess "unpredictable" is the meaning. (I had to look it up  ) |
