Hi everybody,

I'm an economics graduate currently working for a big company in meat business and still learnig English. On today's lesson we were listening about Bitish Airways' office complex (Waterside) and its special features, such as team work, significant reduction of paper work and flexible work. Birtish Airways takes advantage of open plan/space office and HOT DESKING. In my company we have open space office but I've never heard about HOT DESKING. Could you tell me what this strange term HOT DESKING means? How does it work in practice? Is it possible to work without your own desk and computer?

I hope you know the answer. I'd appreciate your help (answers for above questions is my homework, deadline is tomorrow).

By,
Aga

Hi,

I've never heard the term "hot desking" either but I would assume it means that the employee has the ability to move to any desk in any office. This would mean all the "paperwork" would be on a computer - probably with a wireless network connection.

Good luck,

Corey
