Teacher Talk Time % in the Lesson

This means that your TTT (teacher talk time) is a little high. Depending on the school, your boss and the curriculum, your speaking should be less than 50% of the lesson. Let the students do the speaking, make the mistakes, and correct them, Letting them make mistakes helps with memory.

Fingers do the walking. Shop on line.

"fingers do the walking" is an idiom. So the second sentence is a better one.

Standard orthogrphy vs phonetic alphabet.

Why do linguists use a phonetic alphabet as opposed to standard orthography? What would be a variety of answers in this forum?
