I like the menmonic too, perhaps with an in-class presentation and some of Breughel 's paintings for visuals...possible. nice idea, if only to set a sort of template for learners.

could be a confusion way back when with 'play music' and 'play an instrument', play piano music or guitar music. The 'music' part was omitted and it became easier, acceptable and thence usage.

just popping in,
take a look at the employment forum unedr the 'are you meant to be working now' thread and read the example from MELEE this is a case where the emphasis and pause could be used in general speech with "The boss.. Is me"

Hi Emma, Your best bet for this area of teaching is to focus on the FE (further education) sector of ESOL ( English for Speakers of Other Languages) The Guardian website and the Times Educational Supplement website both have jobsearch facilities. The money can be good, dependent upon qualifications....

I don't know if this will help you but Cambridge distributed a CD a year or so ago called Test your English. Based on the Cambridge Learner's Dictionary it contains practice tests and scoring facility for students.
