Using negotiation as a learning tool

Post by RobiH » Sat Mar 08, 2003 8:11 pm

I'm an adult ESL teacher and also a graduate student in a TESL program. I'm doing some research on negotiation in the classroom for a paper. I'd like to provide some examples of activities that are used to help teach negotiation skills. What have all of you in cyberspace done? I'd like to hear about activities that have/haven't worked well and an explanation about why it did/didn't work. I'd also be interest in hearing your general thoughts about whether students use the negotiation skills they learn outside of the classroom. This is a loaded posting, but I'll be grateful for your responses.
