I've used these in the past, I think they're very appropriate...
Two Sleepy People - Silje Nergaard
Lord of the Dance - Donovan
Love and Marriage - Frank Sinatra
Streets of London - Ralph McTell
You've Got to Pick a Pocket or Two - Lionel Bart (Oliver! - Broadway Version)
Getting to Know You - James Taylor
(You can, of course, download these songs from the internet using a free filesharing tool such as Kazaa Lite, although I believe it's illegal to do so.)
Would anyone else like to add to the list?

Maybe some people don't know this, so I'll just also mention that you can get the lyrics for just about any song from the internet by entering the name of the song and the word "lyrics" in the search field.
Donovan's "lord of the dance" is a particularly nice one to do in Asia, because you'll find that the whole class can listen to it and read the lyrics and still not be sure who the lord of the dance is, something that couldn't happen in the west.
