A simple game using basic English for 16 yr olds

Post by splotgem » Mon Sep 07, 2009 4:38 am

Hey,
I've searched through all of the secondary school education pages with the hopes of borrowing some ideas for a basic English game for 16 yr olds. I am currently teaching at a private English School and am also doing some work at the middle school and high school here in Daqing, China. I have 3 top classes and 1 very disadvantaged English class. By disadvantaged I mean, they simply have no grasp of English. In saying that there are still a few students who can comprehend basic English although that's a few out of 60 students.
So, I was wondering if any of you were aware of any basic speaking English games/activities I could play with these guys just to have fun with them. Most of them are in this class because they have to study English to graduate. I want them to enjoy the class thus be less disruptive. I don't want to make them do anything too difficult as they really aren't at a level to pick up anything in depth.

I've tired altering some of the content from teaching my 3 to 12 year olds but considering the limited space in the classroom and the fact that those games just aren't relevant to super cool 16 yr olds, I haven't had any luck

Any advice would also be warmly welcomed.
