Hi everyone, I am new to TEFL teaching and am looking to go to China in September. I was looking at Shanghai or Beijing as I want to go to a busy city, but if possible would like to be somewhere with an amount of tradition as I find it fascinating. Could anybody tell me which is the most traditional seeming out of the two? With things like ancient architecture etc. Also does anybody know of any reputable places to work that they have had good experiences with?
Thanks

beijing is more traditional. Buildings : hutongs, forbidden city , summer place .

Shanghai is a mixed of west and east culture, many foreigners feel it is easier to live in shanghai.

Its up to you whether you want Beijing or shanghai but many foreigners find beijing a bit boring.

It's right that Shanghai is a mixed of west and east culture.
