Measuring Student Achievement
I have learned so many useful things that I think will help me understand ELL students. I believe that there were many useful methods. But, the one thing that I am still confused on is a vaild test that will measure the students achievement in an BE program. Is there really good one and if not why can't someone come up with a such a test?

I think it's too difficult - probably impossible - to come up with one ultimate test for all ELLs in a bilingual program to take. There are too many variables between programs, student populations, district policies, curricula... And I'm not sure I would trust any such test, were it drafted, or it's accountability in measuring student success accurately. It could lead to a "teach to the test" mentality too, which we already have too much of, and this has been harmful.
