Making Reports
Here is a new business ESL role-play for making reports or summaries of corporate indicators such as cost, profit, sales, and revenue. Students are given a graph (a year-end report) and they have to summarize it to other students using language such as increased dramatically, declined slightly, or fluctuated wildly. They also have to explain the changes using 'due to' and 'because of'.
