Vocational English for Chinese Speakers

Post by mslaoshi » Fri Mar 19, 2004 10:49 pm

 Greetings! I am looking for a few books appropriate for teaching intermediate/beginning (but not generic) conversation. They do not have to be job-related. At the most, they could have a section on employment. I've checked out Richard Spears' books but after a while students feel bogged down with vocabulary, with a lack of practical exercises. Other books tend to be on the generic, far too simplistic side. These gals are too wild for these "Hi, Jane how are you" books! Let me know what ya'll think!
Thank you, Xie Xie, Duo Jie,

Ms. Lao Shi (mslaoshi)
