Intensive Short Course Guidelines?

Intensive Short Course Guidelines?

I have been the local organisor for various companies specialising in month long courses for European students in EFL. There doesn't seem to be any structure or course plan/aims or objectives for the teachers instead leaving them to get on with teaching whatever they like. I was wondering if there is a course structure to follow in place for such short courses, possibly leading to a certificate, or if this free-style anything goes type attitude to teaching is the norm?
