| I am teaching an intesive program to senior medical students in China and having some trouble putting together my lesson plan for the first day. While highly educated, they are still at an elementry level. This is my first class teaching alone and wasn't sure of the best way to start things off. Any suggestions? |

Since they are elementar, I believe you should you use elementary stuff.
I don't believe being doctors makes them different.
If the group get the basic now you will probably have no major problems with all skills in the future.
A lot of courses - not just the intensive ones - fail not providing students with the basic .
Someone needs to help them to get "the basic"!!! |

i think you have to be ready to be flexible. it's hard to know exactly what's going to work before meeting the students.
maybe you could prepare two different lessons (beginner and intermediate) and then ask questions to the students, picking a plan based on their level.
good luck! |
