I have to combine my AB and Int. levels for English next fall. This is due to low numbers in the incoming Ab 6th grade. I don't know whether to teach the two levels separately or combine the curriculums. I do have experience in teaching 4/5 combo class two years ago (reg. ed) but since the class periods are only 45 minutes long, I don't want to lose out on teaching time each day. It's totally my decision but hoped to get some feedback from anyone who has had to combine levels. I don't want to cheat either group.
