Advice needed on working with refugees in the UK

Post by fida » Wed Nov 17, 2004 1:40 pm

Hi everyone,
I am about to start a CELTA course (next week - wish me luck!) and I am specifically interested in teaching refugees as my background is in humanitarian aid. I wonder if anyone has any advice for me such as who should I approach for a job, how much work is there etc?
I also speak Hindi and Urdu and I was wondering if my knowledge of these languages and of South Asian cultures might also help me get a job?
I am based in the UK.

Thanks.

Will.
