aphorism HELP

Post by sita » Fri Feb 07, 2003 9:04 am

A student asked me for the meaning of:

The son of pharao`s daughter is the daughter of pharao`s son.

Has anyone the foggiest notion what it is supposed to mean?
I have searched high and low in the www. :?

Sounds like a word play to me, similar to

"Brothers and sisters I have none, but that man's father is my father's son."

Both refer back to one person.
