A 3-Week Summer Program/Link-UP International

Post by gdejardin » Sun Jan 08, 2006 8:08 am

Teachers and Students,

Beginning this summer (July 30-August 19) is a new program for ESL students aged 17-25 worldwide who wish to gain an intensive English language experience (40 plus hours of instruction), as well as an initial introduction to the American culture. The ideal Link-UP student is someone who wishes to one day study in the U.S., but would appreciate a transition experience that would give them a taste of what it's like to study here.

The 2006 program will take place on the campus on Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, WA. Students will visit Seattle/Tacoma cultural landmarks such as Mt. Rainier, Pike Place Market, Microsoft, Safeco Field for a Mariners Game, various museums, as well as several colleges and Universities such as the University of Washington.

Link-UP is an authentic program with a personal touch. Link-UP students will be receive unlimited free tutoring from American college tutors who will serve as staff assistants in the program. It is important that Link-UP students are motivated to learn and embrace this engaging program.
