World school culture

Sorry if this seems incorrect for this specific forum but I wasn't sure where was best to post.

I'm a Jr. High School English teacher in Japan, and we have a lesson coming up that talks about students all over the world. I wanted to make it more international by including students from several different countries as well as include some developing nations to explain to them that not all children have the privlidges that they do. I would appreciate any help from people teaching in any country concering the start time of classes in your country, when school ends, what students study, how many days they go to school a week. Any additional information about schools in your country would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
