How to select exsisting English test papers?

Post by Lixia Wu » Wed Oct 29, 2008 2:12 am

Hi, I’m a graduate student and I want to work as an English teacher in the future. I am having a question in mind these days. As we know, there are a variety of English test papers in the market and also my salesmen will go to the school to promote their studying papers to teachers. Then how can teachers select an appropriate test paper for the students? Thank you!

I have been teaching english for ten years. It's very difficult for me to select from the vast materials too. When I'm trying to select exercises i always take three aspects into consideration. First, I will see if the publisher is authoritative enough; second, iwill see if the author is authoritative enough; third i will talk about it with my colleagues. Sometimes i use it among some of my students to see if the test paper is fit for my students. I hope my advice is helpful to you.
