Sorry, cant find any suitable forum so coming on here.
Several of us teachers are having trouble with our school deducting tax and payments they are not supposed to be taking. I have two questions please.
Should we pay income tax on housing allowances and airfare allowances?
Should American teachers pay income tax during their first two or three years in China, I keep getting conflicting information.
I would be so grateful for any information, or else, please tell me which forum to use.

| Hi Chris, you'd be better joining the Job Discussion forums (which will require separate registration) and posting on the China (Job-related posts) forum there. There are also some e.g. JD General Discussion forum threads relating to tax questions and concerns that you should be able to unearth reasonably easy by searching (possible after registering).
