Is it too much??

Hello guys, I am a future English teacher and I am getting sick about all the French standardized exams we have to take. I'm half way done in the BEALS and i already took 2 French exams and I still have one more to do. I understand that school boards want their teachers to be proficient in French but why do they require the same from their English teachers? at some point,they have "Antidote" other teachers, peers to review their work in French. Also, I find it ridiculous that I am assessed on French more often that I am on English... It really gets me mad and I would really like to hear or read what others have to say about it.
