| What do you think about native-language instruction? It's basically a bilingual program. Do you think most teachers will stick to teaching English without the use of the native language? Could there be a program for those students that don't speak any English first and then they would be eligible for English-only instruction? |

| In my opinion, Bilingual Education is the most effective way to educate LEP students. The emphasis should not be that the students learn English as quickly as possible, it should be that they are obtaining an enriching education. Many argue that the United States does not have the funding to support Bilingual Education, but I believe if they spent less money on other less important matters, Bilingual Education would prove to be beneficial for the LEP students and the districts. |
