Of course I have read a few more chapters from my book and realized just how long and intense this debate of wheather or not districts (or states) should have BE. After reading some of the outcomes from studies done through different states and throughout the years, there is just no conclusive decision, or finding, that points to one direction over another. Although BE can positively effect students' cognitive flexibility, maintain family cohesion, and maintain students' self-esteem and identity, the debate continues...
