Ideas wanted on alternative ways of observing teachers

Post by Uilleam » Thu Jan 31, 2013 9:26 pm

We have been asked to consider introducing a wider range of observation types with varying aims, eg buzz observations, or self-observations where a teacher audio-records his/her lesson and discusses his/her impressions with colleague or Director of Studies.

Can you tell me what 'buzz observations' are?

Have you any idea about a wider range of observation types.

We have already introduced peer observation.

Hoping for suggestions for other ways of observing teachers.

We've considered video and audio.
