|
|
I need to be able to produce some worksheets using IPA fonts. I've just downloaded www.JanMulder.co.uk/Phonmap this very simple programme and it seems to be working well.
However, many people in the past have mentioned this site for downloading IPA fonts:
http://scripts.sil.org/cms/scripts/page.php?site_id=nrsi&id=encore-ipa
but I thought it looked quite complicated to download. However, the advantage (I think - correct me if I'm wrong!) is that if I download the fonts from this site, I'll be able to 'read' documents containing the IPA symbols, e.g. if a colleague sends me an email and if I save it on my computer, I should be able to see the symbols correctly.
So, two questions: is the download at the Sil site difficult? And, would it allow me to do what I mentioned above?
Many thanks. |

| I don't know why you think it's a difficult download, but since it's free you can try it and dump it if it's a bother. |
