Controversial Topics for Conversation????
Can anyone give me the name and publisher of a textbook used to initiate conversation- it's something like Controversial Subjects for Conversation or something like that. It has short story sequences in it that may stimulate students to discuss. Thanks.

good fairly high level text
A book I've used for both native and nonnative speakers is "Conversations" by Jack Selzer. It is full of readings on a variety of topics including issues like cloning, the death penalty, drugs, etc.
controversial text
I saw a few like that in the Alta catalogue last week. I don't have the catalogue on me right now to know the titles, but you may want to get your hands on an Alta catalogue!
