Are there any textbooks out there that deal with this very broad area?

Hello,

I don't know if you're still interested in finding any materials, but I would check out the British Council's web site. They have a military english interest group that has pointed me in a number of related different directions.

The address is: http://www.learnenglish.org.uk/militaryenglish

In addition, there are a few British texts that are specifically for military English. The information is on my computer at home so I could forward that information after the holidays.

Hope this helps.
