Texts

Post by NatalieGagnonULAVAL » Thu Feb 24, 2011 2:43 pm

Texts are important tools for teachers as well as for students. They are crucial elements, if well selected, to ensure students’ learning according to their language level, functional language, and interest for the topic. When students can relate to or feel familiar with the text, they develop an interest for it and thus read it more attentively. Texts are harder tools to work with since nowadays reading is a rather left-aside passion for most students. However, this could be a good way to revive or create the passion for reading if the teacher is able to use this tool correctly.
