Clerical Skills Materials for ESL in the U.S.
I teach in a program that prepares ESL students to do clerical work. I would be interested in exchanging my materials with anyone who has developed similar curriculum. The class I'm teaching right now deals with letter writing (for example, ordering supplies, dealing with incorrect shipments); giving and repeating directions; making small-talk and (in)appropriate questions: customer service; dealing with criticism; and being polite and using softeners. We also touch on American thinking/culture as it applies to the workplace.
