Principles of Language Learning and Teaching

Post by smantrach » Mon May 14, 2012 11:42 pm

When teaching ELL students, I will keep in mind the principles of language learning. My teaching approach will be based around the teaching principles that I will apply in my classroom with my ELL students. Successful teaching of ELL students depends not only on me, but also on their hard work and continuous efforts. I am aware that second language acquisition can be a frustrating and exhausting development process for the ELL students. It means learning a new culture, a new vocabulary, and making a lot of inter-language errors. ELL students can learn to communicate at a high competence level if we are patient, understanding, and willing to try different strategies with them.
