Activities in Adult Classrooms

Post by DBaccaro » Mon May 21, 2012 3:54 pm

When teaching children ESL it is important to do a lot of activities to keep them interested and to help them interact and practice language. Is it as important to do a lot of activities in adult ESL classrooms? I feel like adults should have daily activities as well, but they should probably have less activities than children. Many adult learners want to focus on grammar and the reasons behind grammar rules, so we should have time for that too. Also in order to show respect for adults, what kind of activities would be appropriate? I don't want them to feel like they are being treated like children.
