CALL using Synthetic Phonetic Blending.

Has anyone heard of Imagine Learning? They have a software program being used across the USA in elementary schools as a suppliment for English Language Learning. They use a method which is something similar to 'Synthetic Phonetic Blending'. According to Wikipeadia this method is apparently the latest thing in English Language Learning. Since when has this method been the latest thing and do you know of anywhere outside the USA that uses this method or this software for ESL? - Thanks.
