International School Employment - Am I qualified?

Post by darkswan » Thu Apr 09, 2015 12:10 pm

Can anyone provide advice regarding what qualifications are normally needed to teach in an International School? I am strictly a native English ESL / EFL teacher with a Masters of Applied Linguistics, a Masters of Education and a Doctorate of Education (ABD) in addition to CELTA but no teaching certificate per se to teach primary or high school back home (in Australia). My experience (of more than 10 years) in ESL / EFL is solely to adults and not children. Would this all made me ineligible to apply for work in international schools? Any advice or suggestions would be most welcome. Thank you in advance. Brett
