Question for you guys.
One of my students was preparing for the Cambridge CAE and after calling a few universities around Europe she realized that most of them actually don't accept that certification. They strictly want IELTS or TOEFL. This sounds quite new to me and I wanted to ask you if the Cambridge exams have lost popularity in the last years. With a bit shame now I say that I've always believed the Cambridge to be widely accepted as equal to the other two main ones, but it seems that I have to re-evaluate my notions.
If someone can shed some light on this, please do it. I'd really like to help my student in making the right choice.
By the way, the student is Italian and she wants to go somewhere in Europe.
