If you have time, could you go to

http://wttfcweb01.netvigator.com/filecabc/servlet/share?f=wymlee%2FMy+Downloads%2FD_04.mp3

to listen to a speech by my instructor? For Americans, is his British accent difficult to understand?

To my ears, his accent is perfectly understandable.

William

P.S. His file is just for testing purpose!

I had no trouble understanding him at all. The only interesting thing I noticed as a speaker of American English, was that some words I pronounce with an /ae/ sound, like black, were pronounced by him with an /ae/ sound, and some were pronounced with an /a/ sound. Is there some kind of rule for which is which?
