Teaching civil rights to ELL students

Post by 2teachsoon » Tue Sep 21, 2004 10:03 pm

Hi,
I am a new teacher and have found some great ideas for teaching a unit on slavery, the underground railroad, and civil rights. Many of my lessons however, do not seem well adapted for ELL students. I feel this is the perfect place to ask if anyone has any ideas they would like to share. Any help would be very appreciated. Please help!
Thanks
