Just started work at this conversational english centre in China, previously having no experience and I'm not getting alot of direction on what to teach from the people in charge.
Any advice on how to prepare lessons for conversational english or what the best way to teach conversational english would be?
thanks,

An open question like this is impossible to answer. You should give student ages, class size, prior knowledge of English, texts offered etc, to get a useful reply.
However, start very simple, get their confidence, then get answers in short phrases to pick up grammar and context.
Keep it to stuff they are interested in, whether it is Tv, music, clothes, shopping ( always a winner), friends, family. Stuff they know.
Good luck. :) |
