Love using SMART Exchange! Thanks for sharing Mrs. Breidenbach! :) I haven't used the koosh ball for throwing activities yet, so I'm super excited to try that activity out with my students!

This is a great site where you can download a lot of pre-made templates for koosh ball, jeopardy, wheel of fortune, etc. All you have to do is download it and put your questions/information in it. You do not have to have a SMART Board to use it! Just a projector do the kids can see it :)

Would You Rather at RatherWut.com

Post by tlee021 » Tue Dec 16, 2014 10:30 pm

I've learned that sometimes it's difficult to find things to talk about. I use the site http://ratherwut.com to make certain topics into games.

Students can watch the videos and listen to the English. Afterward, I, or the other students debate which of the two choices that are presented on the website better. We've had some outstanding and pretty fun conversations.

Hi,

Thank you for the links. There is always so much new to discover!
I myself have been working as a teacher at basic school and lower secondary school, and several types of upper secondary school (that is different types of high-school: f.e. vocational shool, business school, hotel-management school, classical grammar school). Now I am teaching as a free-lance teacher via skype. For me the following are very helpful links:
www.homeenglishteacher.com
www.teachingenglishgames.com/esl-for-adults
www.teachingenglishgames.com
www.usingenglish.com/forum/
I find inspiration ther for each type of student, each language skill and achievement level!

I use Cram.com to create online flashcards and ask my students to take a quiz of what they have learnt at the classroom

A Vocabulary Game App

Post by efloyd » Fri Oct 13, 2017 10:31 pm

I recently developed WrdWrx, a vocabulary guessing game, now available in the app store. Think Catchphrase, but focused on individual words rather than idioms or expressions.

If you're looking for something that will encourage meaningful communication among your students, or if you simply like language games yourself, check it out! Try it for free, rate it, and write a review if you find it helpful for your classes!
