Hello. I would like to teach business/workplace English to new immigrants, who have limited English proficiency. Does anyone out there have any recommendations for good textbooks for teaching a beginning-level business/workplace English class? Thanks! |

Market leader has an Elementary Business English course.
Longman Pearson.
But this is only suitable for those entering a business or business office environment.
It would not really be suitable for those in manufacturing, retail or hospitality.
Have you also looked on the ESP forum? |

I haven't taught from Market Leader yet, but I have also been recommended to use it giving a Business English course.
I have used English 365 1 printed by Camridge Universoty press. I'm not sure how elementary your class is, but I like the subjects this books gives students to talk about. I find students can use the book according to whatever level they are. However have a look before you buy. |

Genosha,
Thanks for the suggestion! My students will likely be elementary or lower intermediate level. I will definitely check out the book. Thanks again! |
