I am a law student currently, and am very interested in working in China. I have been reading a lot about teaching English at a Chinese university. I think this would be a great way to get to know the country and develop my command over the language. I have a few questions:

1) Does having your Juris Doctorate (the American LL.B) qualify one as a foreign expert?

2) Do Chinese law schools employ English teachers like many other Chinese universities?

3) Is it preferable to live in a big city or can a foreigner do just as well in the countryside?

4) Is the polution in Beijing as bad as everyone says it is?

5) Can one make it by on 5000yuan a month? I've read somewhere that the average monthly cost is $37. 5000yuan is more than 20 times that.

no ,china is very cheap. average monthly cost is 2000-3000yuan, maybe less.
