teaching to be big brother/sister ideas?

Post by shannonsensei » Sun Oct 08, 2006 2:46 pm

in my current class, 11/12 of the students are older than 2.5, are quite independent, and speak fairly good english, considering their age. they've mastered the required vocabulary for their level and we've been working on additional vocabulary and using full sentences.
come november, half of my class will be the same kids and the other half will be lil ones who have just turned 2 years old, babies in comparison!!!

i really want the older kids to act as big brothers/sisters with the little ones. i think that it would be a good way to keep them from being bored.

does anyone have any good suggestions for teaching this?
love,
shannon
