1. I play a little tennis.
2. I play tennis a little.
Which of the following do they mean?
(a) I have time to play tennis only infrequently.
(b) I am not very good at playing tennis.

Very little difference, in my opinion.
As a native English speaker I am sure the listener would ask you to clarify what you meant if you said one of those expressions, if it was not contectually understood.
