original first manuscript

Post by Itasan » Mon Jun 04, 2007 1:04 am

"The original first manuscript for Ravel's Bolero
goes on the block today."
Aren't the 'original' and 'first' the same thing?
I wonder why 'original first'?

Thank you.

Itasan,

Breaking it up, it could mean:
The original - Not a copy
first manuscript - The first manuscript written

Of course it could be a mistake....
