New IPA Entry Tool For Testing

Post by eslweb » Mon Sep 24, 2007 6:08 am

Everybody,

I've created a MS Word Template which has a toolbar for the easy entry of IPA. On one hand I want to share it with everybody, because it makes using IPA really easy once installed. On the other hand I am concerned that it might cause frustrations for people installing it.

I've tried it on as many PCs as I can, but would it be possible for everybody to try this new tool and tell me what PCs it does and does not work on.

Before you try to install the font, you must check that you have:
Lucida Sans Unicode and MS Word 2000+ So far I've only been able to test it on Word 2003 with a Windows PC.

It definitely DOES NOT work with Open Office. The URL to download it from is:

http://www.jamesabela.co.uk/beginner/IPA.htm
(It's the Zip file)

If it is a good tool that works for most of you then I will keep it on the site, if it causes too much frustration then I'll remove it. Thanks for trying it, your time is appreciated.

James

P.S. This is freeware, free to download, free to play with and free to use.
