I'm thinking of integrating some video stuff into my lectures, and I'm curious what a good portable mac would be for video...would just a laptop be powerful enough to complete good editing and clean playback? Or maybe I could get a macmini and hook it up to a projector in class. Thoughts?

I think if you look at the specifications for the Macbooks and the Mini, you will find the Macbooks are quite powerful. I don't think you'd have any trouble using them.

Hi, if you have the chance of hooking up a Macbook or a Macbook Pro then that's the way to go. I use a mac mini at home and it's a great little machine but wouldn't want to use it as if it were a portable pc though!
