Which Publisher To Choose?

I've finished writing a textbook & am looking for a fair, reputable publihser here in Japan (I'm in Kansai). I'm not looking for a publishing house that will make too many editing demands; that would count out Oxford, Thompsons, etc.

Any ideas, preferably one sbased on experience, would be greatly appreciated.

The ETJ Tokyo Expo/ bookfair is coming up in November, so just going round the publishers there trying to sell your idea face to face is the best idea. I know of people who have got work that way, although usually something totally different to their original idea...

JALT events will probably have the same publishers, if not more

The other option is self-publishing/ e books, which actually sounds more like something that will suit you, but you will need to dedicate several years to doing everything you can to selling your book
